As Head of Medical Affairs and Clinical Nutrition for the Frail Elderly Care category, your mission is to create, lead, and implement the global medical strategy that drives meaningful impact in frailty care. This role is pivotal in establishing Nutricia as the leading partner in elderly care, ensuring the highest standards of patient outcomes through scientific innovation, medical credibility, and strategic partnerships.
You will be responsible for shaping the medical vision and translating it into actionable strategies that support category penetration and demand generation. Working cross-functionally with business and R&I teams, you will contribute to the innovation pipeline, evidence generation, and medical education. You will also engage with external networks to elevate the role of medical nutrition in healthcare systems and drive preference for our science-based portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the global medical affairs strategy for frailty in alignment with Danone’s ambition to double the adult Specialized Nutrition business.
- Co-building the global business strategy for Elderly Care and driving its implementation.
- Influencing external stakeholders to shape category development and increase awareness of medical nutrition.
- Contributing to innovation and evidence generation for the core ONS portfolio.
- Defining and executing medical education plans and strategic partnerships.
- Driving the shift in elderly care through protocolised screening and nutritional pathways.
- Leading a team of category experts and collaborating across internal and external networks.
You are a strategic medical leader with a strong foundation in medical nutrition and a passion for improving patient outcomes. You bring a proven track record in medical affairs and thrive in complex, cross-functional environments where science, strategy, and stakeholder engagement intersect.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Master’s degree (minimum) in a relevant field.
- At least 10 years of experience in medical affairs within medical nutrition.
- Strong business acumen and deep knowledge of the healthcare and nutrition landscape.
- Demonstrated ability to translate medical and patient insights into strategic business opportunities.
- Experience in medical education, scientific communication, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to empower and develop high-performing teams.
- A collaborative mindset and cultural agility to navigate diverse internal and external networks.
