Job description
As part of Financial Risk, the scope of TRM is ING’s Financial Markets (trading) business. Within that scope, the Stress Testing Model Squad is responsible for developing a new model and the related infrastructure for monitoring, analysing and reporting stress tests on the market risk of the trading activities.
In addition, the squad has an important role in coordinating and running all market risk-related regulatory exercises, such as the EBA Stress Test.
We are looking for a intern to participate in the Stress Testing squad. As an intern you will get familiar with the trading book portfolio, daily market risk metrics and the stress testing model. You will be involved in validation of the stress testing results, analyses of market data history and analyses of position changes in the portfolio.
Your work environment
The Stress Testing squad is an energetic, multidisciplinary international team of highly qualified professionals. The team has an open, informal atmosphere and a strong focus on team work (including an Agile way of working). You will work closely with many internal and external parties such as risk managers globally, front office, finance, IT, senior management, vendors and regulatory supervisors.
We work in a dynamic environment, balancing daily measurement and analysis with the rapid changes in the financial markets and increasing demands from the regulators.

A successful candidate should have strong analytical skills as well as good communication skills, critical thinking and a pro-active attitude.
You constructively cooperate with other TRM risk teams and other departments in ING.
Your profile
A university student in economics, econometrics or other finance/quantitative subjects
Good communication skills, able to manage different stakeholders
A keen interest in financial markets, financial instruments and market risk
Self-starter, result-driven and flexible
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and critical thinking
Good IT skills, including programming knowledge (Python, SQL)
Team player
Fluent in English
