Job Description
The GDBT Customer Development Associate manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring initiatives and projects while ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to governance standards. The role demands effective resource management, strong stakeholder engagement, and risk anticipation to ensure timely and within-budget project execution. This role will work closely with global and regional Business Partners, IT Infrastructure, Architecture, Cybersecurity teams, and other IT colleagues.
Key Accountabilities
- Project Planning
- Define and maintain detailed project activity plans
- Efficiently manage external project resources
- Project Monitoring & Risk Management
- Allocate and monitor resources
- Conduct periodic status checks and control project activities
- Proactively identify, report, and manage risks and issues with stakeholders
- Solution Design
- Design innovative and cost-effective solutions
- Leverage both new and existing technologies
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Process Owners, Key Users, and Business Referents
- Manage project documentation, calendars, and ensure quality delivery
- Team Collaboration
- Promote effective communication within the project team
- Foster commitment and collaborative working relationships
- Process Improvement
- Evaluate process improvement requests with Process Owners
- Ensure alignment with organizational and management guidelines
- Solution Fit & Synergy
- Ensure solutions meet business requirements and are scalable
- Consider long-term evolution and cross-project synergies
- Handover to Maintenance
- Coordinate with the Application Maintenance team for smooth project transition
- Methodology & Consulting
- Apply and promote best practices, methodologies, and consulting frameworks
- Cost Control
- Monitor project costs to ensure alignment with budget
- Highlight and address budget deviations
- IT Governance Compliance
Desired Skills and Background
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years in IT Project Management or a similar role within the Sales remit, FMCG is a plus
- Preferred Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum
- Strong project management skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management
- Risk assessment and mitigation
- Knowledge of IT governance frameworks
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence)
- Familiarity with “security by design” and cybersecurity principles
- SAP knowledgde
