Your Role as (Junior) Buyer – Grapes & Citrus
As a (Junior) Buyer, you’ll help manage the sourcing of citrus and grapes from our international grower network. You will work closely with experienced buyers and account managers, developing relationships with suppliers and ensuring consistent product quality, competitive pricing, and reliable supply. You'll play an essential role in connecting supply and demand—from orchard to supermarket shelf.
Your tasks include:
- Supporting the sourcing of citrus and grapes from international growers and suppliers
- Monitoring quality, pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
- Helping manage long-term supplier relationships and contracts
- Assisting with category planning, forecasts, and seasonal strategies
- Working closely with logistics, QA, sales, and supply chain colleagues
- Keeping an eye on market trends and supporting the team with data-driven insights
What You Bring
You’re a hands-on, curious, and commercially minded professional (or soon-to-be!). You thrive in a dynamic environment and love to learn, negotiate, and build connections across cultures.
Your profile:
- A Bachelor’s degree in business, agribusiness, logistics, or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in a commercial role or a relevant internship during your studies
- A strong command of English is a must; Dutch is a big plus; Spanish and/or German are a definite advantage
- Comfortable with numbers and Excel; eager to learn ERP systems
- You’re proactive, solution-oriented, and ready to grow within an international team
