The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Key Account Executive – Electrical Markets Division for Commercial & Industrial sector in the Netherlands, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
- Managing and developing a set of key accounts in the Netherlands by implementing corporate initiatives and strategies, driving 3M programs for contractors from Commercial & Industrial sector
- Growing our Commercial & Industrial segment (C&I) with the assigned accounts above market by selling the 3M brand and technologies (e.g. Coldshrink technology, Scotch vinyl tapes)
- Strengthening customer relationships with distributors, B2B end-customers, utilities and contractors in the Netherlands
- Engaging and collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g. Technical Support, Marketing, Distribution Sales Team, EMEA Key Account Team) to identify and win new projects
- Make use of our CRM system to plan, manage and document your sales activities and provide market opportunities to drive corporate growth programs
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
- Proven KAM experience within electrotechnical industry
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education
- Fluent Dutch and English
- Self-starter mentality paired with a strong business acumen, analytical skills, and excellent team collaboration abilities, along with the ability to easily establish relationships with existing and new customers
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively in the region of the Netherlands (>3 days/week)
- Practical skills to show the value and advantages of solutions by conducting hand-on presentations and trainings
- Experience of using CRM systems to plan, manage and document sales activities
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Education in electrical field: power engineering, electrical engineering or construction
- Experience of working with electrical contractors and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) firms
- Experience of working in a large and complex corporate environment
- Fluent in French
