We’re seeking a Legal Intern with a focus on Trust & Compliance, with a strong interest in risk management and regulatory compliance, who’s ready to take ownership from day one. You’ll join our Trust team, reporting to the VP Trust, and work closely with our Legal Counsel. As an intern, you will assist with monitoring internal processes, maintaining documentation and staying informed about applicable laws and regulations, gaining practical experience and mentorship to build your foundation in the field. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, comfortable handling sensitive information and committed to supporting ethical business practices. What you’ll do
Supporting Legal & Regulatory Work
Support ongoing GDPR compliance across the organization, including in our product development as well as Go-To-Market (GTM) operations such as marketing, sales, and partnerships
Help drafting and reviewing SaaS agreements, DPAs, privacy notices, and internal policies
Help monitor evolving laws and assist in translating them into clear internal guidance
Enabling Ethical & Responsible Practices
Support compliance efforts in areas like data protection, accessibility and responsible AI
Help conduct assessments (e.g. DPIAs, product risk reviews) under guidance from Legal or Information Security teams
Support compliance readiness for audits
Promote and help implement privacy by design, ethics by design, and trustworthy AI development practices
Support the creation of user-centric policies and safeguards, especially for students, educators, and institutions using our technology
Building Trust with Stakeholders
Assist in building customer confidence by helping to shape external-facing trust collateral, including compliance overviews, security whitepapers, and RFP responses
Support vendor and partner due diligence processes, ensuring high standards across our ecosystem
Contribute to internal compliance messaging that aligns with our brand voice and resonates with cross-functional teams
Growing a Culture of Integrity
Support internal training and guidance on key compliance areas (e.g. data ethics, privacy, responsible communication) sessions
Contribute to a compliance-first mindset across the company
Take ownership of small projects aligned with your interests and learning goals

A natural communicator who can translate legal requirements into actionable advice
Enthusiastic about technology, education, and the intersection of the two
A degree (completed or in progress) in Law, Compliance or similar (LL.M. preferred)
Foundational understanding of EU and global tech regulations (such as the GDPR and the AI Act) and basic corporate/commercial law
Strong written and verbal English
Attention to detail, curiosity and a willingness to take initiative while learning to navigate a dynamic environment
Bonus if you have:
Experience with information security standards (such as ISO 27001), accessibility standards, or ethics frameworks
Prior exposure to SaaS, startups, or EdTech environments
