About the Role
As a Liquid Cargo Surveyor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and accurate inspection of liquid cargoes in the ARA (Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp) region. You’ll be deployed on behalf of leading international inspection companies and will operate in accordance with the latest industry standards and QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) requirements.
This is a dynamic field-based position that requires precision, responsibility, and a strong commitment to safety. Whether you're working onshore or aboard vessels, your expertise will help maintain the integrity of global cargo operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of Crude Oil, Mineral Oil Products, Chemicals, and Edible Oils
- Perform measurement and sampling of shore tanks, tanker barges, and tanker vessels
- Carry out pre-inspection of cargo hoses to ensure operational readiness
- Oversee additivation activities during cargo handling
- Provide safety supervision during Ship-to-Ship (STS) operations
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a surveyor in Crude Oil and Mineral Oil Products
- Experience with Q&Q for liquid cargo
- Experience with Chemicals, Gas, and/or Edible Oils is a strong advantage
- Solid understanding of industry inspection protocols and QHSE standards
- Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts and ad hoc assignments
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, safety-first mindset
