Overview:
Your Impact
As Maintenance Lead, you are the driving force behind a highly effective and reliable maintenance process.
Your mission is to ensure production lines are not limited by technical gaps, that maintenance tasks are efficiently planned and executed, and that technical knowledge is effectively transferred to line teams.
You combine strategic planning, operational coordination, and strong leadership to help the site achieve maximum uptime at optimal cost.
You lead a team of professionals — including skilled mechanics and maintenance planners — and work closely with the line structure team to ensure maintenance is not just a support function, but a core part of operational success.
You act as a coach, a planner, and a technical sounding board.
Your ability to develop people, structure work, and solve problems directly impacts both short-term performance and long-term asset reliability.
Your Impact
You ensure that all maintenance activities are well-organized, cost-efficient, and aligned with business priorities. Whether it's a small adjustment or a major overhaul, you make sure the work is executed safely, thoroughly, and on time. You balance day-to-day urgency with long-term planning, maintaining a structured maintenance backlog and a clear annual maintenance calendar.
You lead by example during daily operations. In close coordination with the line structure team, you drive the execution of the daily maintenance plan, share insights from breakdowns and planned tasks, and ensure that learnings are turned into action.
Your work directly feeds into the improvement of the maintenance system — and of the people working in it.
Beyond execution, you’re also a coach and trainer in Autonomous Maintenance (AM).
Working alongside your colleagues in the line structure team, you help operators take ownership of their equipment by teaching basic maintenance principles such as cleaning, inspection, lubrication (CIL), and defect handling.
You support teams as they grow through the AM steps, ensuring proper documentation, skill development,
and follow-up.
You are also a key player in the implementation of Preventative Maintenance (PM).
From scheduling routine tasks to updating work plans and technical documentation, you ensure PM is a living system — not a checklist.
You collaborate with planning teams to ensure efficient use of resources and minimal disruption to production.
You lead weekly and monthly planning meetings and ensure the right work is done at the right time with the right tools, materials, and people.
You identify and eliminate recurring issues by leading root cause analyses and driving structural solutions.
You create One Point Lessons (OPLs) and provide training when needed, so problems are not just fixed — they're prevented.
You track KPIs and maintenance performance metrics, and you use these to guide improvements in execution, cost, and reliability.
