As Managing Director, you will lead a strategically important business unit of Aviko. You will oversee a passionate and skilled organization, drive operational excellence and growth, and shape the future of sustainable food production. You are part of the Aviko board and report to the CEO of Aviko. Of course, you will work closely with the Cosun Executive Board and collaborate across the Aviko- and Cosun group to ensure Rixona continues to grow and innovate in a dynamic global market
Rixona, part of Aviko and therefore also part of the Royal Cosun cooperative, transforms potatoes into high-quality, plant-based ingredients that serve customers worldwide. Rixona has an annual revenue of >300 million euros and operates from three locations: Our main site incl office in Venray, one production site in Warffum, and one in Stavenhagen, Germany, this with a total staff of 500+ FTE. For the Asian market, Rixona cooperates closely with a sister company of Aviko in China.

Job Description
- Lead with vision and strategy: Set strategic guidelines, translate them into actionable goals, and ensure effective implementation through long-term business plans and annual budgets.
- Drive performance and transformation: Oversee financial results and operational efficiency, make challenging decisions, take corrective actions, and lead strategic change initiatives.
- Foster leadership and continuous improvement: Build and empower a high-performing leadership team, and cultivate a culture of innovation, safety.
- Engage stakeholders and manage complexity: Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including the Aviko- and Cosun Boards, farmers, clients, suppliers, and regulators. Operate with a helicopter view, engaging in content discussions without needing to be a subject matter expert.
- Act globally, think entrepreneurially: Bring an international orientation, adaptive mindset, commercial savviness, and entrepreneurial spirit to drive sustainable growth and results.
Qualifications
- A proven track record in senior leadership, ideally within the food or agribusiness sector, with strong strategic and financial acumen
- A people-centric leadership style that builds trust, drives performance, and supports organizational development and change
- A broad management perspective with the ability to oversee complex operations and engage in content discussions without being a subject matter expert
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging boards, clients and other key players
- An entrepreneurial mindset with commercial savviness and a global outlook
- A master’s degree preferably in business administration or commercial economics
- Fluency in Dutch; proficiency in English and German is a strong advantage
