Job Title: Night Receptionist
Hours: Night Shifts 23:45 – 08:00
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and friendly Night Receptionist to join our team. You will be the main point of contact for guests during the night, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment while handling reception duties with professionalism and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and check-in late-arriving guests, process check-outs and handle any early departures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests with inquiries, directions, and any overnight needs.
- Ensure the safety and security of the hostel by monitoring access, performing regular security checks, and following emergency procedures.
- Respond to any complaints, disturbances, or emergencies during the night, escalating issues to management as needed.
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications through the booking system.
- Prepare and reconcile reports, complete cash handling and end-of-day tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in communal areas (light tidying as needed).
- Ensure handover communication with day staff is clear and complete.
- Monitor and restock reception supplies.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or night reception is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills in English (other languages a plus).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Trustworthy, punctual, and highly responsible.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of the local area and tourist attractions is desirable.
