About the role
As our new Operational Buyer in the Global Procurement team you will actively participate in the sourcing activities with the goal of achieving cost reductions, while maintaining or improving quality. You will work closely together with the Global Sourcing Managers who are responsible for the global sourcing strategy for a specific subcategory or project. Your focus will be split across long term projects such as assisting in preparing and coordinating bids as well as managing the operational activities in PR to PO cycle. Co-ordination with site stakeholder will be required for this role.
You will have a key role in our organization. You will interact with sites, suppliers, and colleagues from all over the globe on a day-to-day basis. This position would be great for further pursuing your procurement
Main responsibilities:
- Identify, Evaluate & Select suppliers, negotiate and close framework agreements for Global & specific region for Products and Services under the Procurement Tech & Maintenance Equipment Sub-category.
- Support the Sourcing Manager with CAPEX procurement activities and perform data analysis to enhance decision-making.
- Manage operational procurement tasks, including RFQs and PR-PO conversion.
- Maintain procurement records, verify invoices, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Maintain and develop in-depth knowledge of suppliers, markets and trends.
- Perform / Participate in best-in-class negotiation process via analysis of supply & demand trends.
- Resolve payment-related issues efficiently.
- Review, verify, and approve financial and business transactions within guidelines within established Frameworks.
- Occasional travel to suppliers and sites for projects, building relations and negotiation of prices and contracts will be required
About you
To be successful in this role you have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field like Engineering or Business Management with the right amount of relevant procurement experience that is needed to bring high quality procurement to this role. Reasonable understanding of procurement processes, and systems (like SAP) to do the PR to PO process is required.
Languages:
Fluency required in both Spanish and English language
Location: EU HQ in Amsterdam. You will be required to work 3 days from office with option to work remotely for 2 days in a week.
