Hi, we’re Nexio Projects,
Our mission is to empower people and organisations to take their next steps towards shaping a more sustainable future. As trusted advisors to clients across a wide range of sectors, we help clarify the complexities of sustainability management and reporting, facilitating bold commitments and ambitious action.
Headquartered in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, our dynamic team of over 40 colleagues is what makes us not only a Great Place To Work®, but a truly unique organisation. Powered by purpose-driven intrapreneurs, we foster an environment where everyone’s voice is heard, and we all can make a lasting positive impact.
Sustainability is at the heart of our organisation. We’ve been a certified B Corp since 2019, and we’re currently the highest-ranking B Corp Way consultancy firm in the Benelux region. We’re also a leading global EcoVadis training partner, and hold a Platinum EcoVadis medal – putting us in the top 1% of all comparable companies.
Are you someone whose personal calendar is colour-coded and who spots a typo in a legal doc from a mile away? Then this internship might be your thing!
As an Intern, you’ll represent our People & Culture team, together with our P&C Director. You'll dive headfirst into the beating heart of our internal operations, from owning our HR admin and fine-tuning HR processes to bringing culture and engagement initiatives to life.
You will also support implementing People & Culture initiatives that foster our values, ensure smooth internal processes, and build a thriving, inclusive workplace.
What you deliver:
People Operations
Manage and maintain our HR Information System (Humaans), ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee data and reporting.
Support onboarding and offboarding processes
Take care of our employee documentation
Assist with compliance-related tasks.
Handle P&C questions from the team, or better yet, refer them to Humaans so the AI chat can do the talking. Is the answer still missing from the handbook? Time to add it to your ‘to-write’ list!
Culture and Engagement
Contribute to internal initiatives that promote employee well-being and cultural alignment.
Organise internal events, employee feedback surveys, and learning sessions that reflect and strengthen our values.
Facility Management
Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked office environment (including stationery, kitchen supplies, and food & beverages).
Coordinate the ordering of supplies and manage kitchen setup and upkeep.
Stay Curious
Research and share insights on people-related trends, tools, and best practices to enhance team effectiveness.
Propose new ideas and process improvements with a proactive, growth-oriented mindset.
What we are looking for
Currently pursuing or holding a university degree (Master’s preferred) in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
Demonstrating a genuine interest in People & Culture, and ideally some experience in recruitment, HR, or people operations through internships, student roles, or projects.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, you love structure and multitasking.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. English fluency is required; Dutch or French is a plus.
You’re tech-savvy and having the experience of working with ATS or HRIS tools is a plus.
You bring a proactive, collaborative attitude, enjoy working in a team, and are motivated by making a positive impact.
Show off our values. Help us shine as an employer by contributing to initiatives that make Nexio the place to be for sustainability-driven talent.
Since this is a People & Culture role, being around people really matters, so we’d love for you to be in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
