What is the role about?
At Bitvavo, we believe that exceptional employee experiences fuel high-performing teams and bold company growth. As a People Operations Associate, you’ll help lay the foundation for a seamless and scalable employee experience, supporting the core processes that keep our people operations running smoothly and effectively.
In this role, you’ll be a key partner in delivering high-quality support across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between. You’ll respond to employee queries with care and precision, manage day-to-day HR administration, and contribute to cross-functional People projects that drive operational excellence.

How will you make an impact?
- Support the handling of HR queries related to employee lifecycle (pre-onboarding, contracts, benefits, visa, leaves, data changes, etc.), working towards prompt resolution in line with defined SLAs
- Collaborate with other members in the People Team to execute cyclical HR processes and services with a focus on employee experience and data integrity
- Assist in facilitating a seamless onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they receive all necessary resources and information
- Work closely with members of the People Team (People Business Partner/Advisor, Talent Acquisition) to resolve queries and escalate when necessary
- Support the maintenance of core HR processes and help communicate these to stakeholders and employees
- Assist with data accuracy maintenance and support monthly reporting to People Business Partners
- Contribute to various program pillars based on interest and development goals (Performance and reward, culture, L&D, process optimisation, organisational design)

In addition, you will bring the following skills and experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in HR or People Operations, ideally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and preferably in a tech or scale-up setting
- Sound knowledge of Dutch Employment Law and affinity with administration, process management and employee lifecycle processes
- Expert prioritisation skills and strong problem-solving abilities; you can easily handle multiple tasks at the same time while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities
- Experience with HRIS systems (such as Personio), EOR services, or ticketing systems (such as Zendesk) would be advantageous, as would experience in regulatory/fintech industry, international environments, or with creating policies and procedures
