The Product Marketing Specialist for Quant strategies will play a pivotal role in shaping how Robeco’s investment strategies are positioned and communicated across channels and regions. This role combines strong investment knowledge, storytelling ability, and a commercial mindset to develop and execute marketing strategies that resonate with Institutional and Wholesale clients. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative partner to the Investment teams, a strategic thinker, and a skilled communicator who can translate complex investment ideas into compelling, client-ready narratives.
Position & Requirements
Strategic Planning & Positioning
- Develop and execute marketing strategies for investment products that align with Robeco’s commercial goals and support long-term positioning.
- Define differentiated product messaging that clearly articulates the value of our investment strategies.
- Collaborate closely with Client Portfolio Managers to ensure marketing narratives reflect investment convictions and market context.
Content Development & Campaigns
- Create and manage a suite of marketing materials (brochures, sales aids, digital content).
- In collaboration with the Investment Writers Team, develop tailored narratives and campaign messages for Institutional and Wholesale audiences.
- Work closely with channel marketing teams to adapt global messaging to regional needs, ensuring relevance and resonance across markets, supporting alignment between global product narratives and local distribution priorities.
- Ensure consistency in messaging across all channels and materials.
Market Research & Analysis
- Closely work together with Market Intelligence colleagues to conduct market and competitor research to understand trends, client needs, and opportunities for differentiation.
- Use insights to inform product positioning and go-to-market strategies.
Go-to-Market Execution
- Lead go-to-market plans for new product launches and enhancements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (sales, product development, investment teams) to ensure successful execution.
- Develop post-launch campaigns to drive adoption and engagement.
Sales Enablement
- Equip sales teams with client-ready storytelling tools, modular introductory presentations, and tailored content to support client engagement and business development.
- Develop scalable, client-tailored content and talking points for use across distribution channels.
Digital Distribution
- Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to enhance the digital client experience.
- Leverage digital channels (web, social, email, paid media) to maximize reach and impact.
Performance Monitoring
- Track and analyze marketing effectiveness using data-driven insights.
- Report on key metrics and continuously optimize strategies.
Governance & Collaboration
- Ensure consistency of messaging and data across all product marketing outputs
- Act as the central marketing authority for assigned strategies, with deep understanding of related markets
- Represent the team in cross-functional business and regulatory initiatives
Required experience and skillset
- Proven product marketing experience within the Asset Management industry; a background as a CPM or Investment Specialist is advantageous
- Strong technical understanding of quantitative investment products and strategies
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex investment strategies into compelling, client-relevant narratives
- Entrepreneurial mindset and intellectual curiosity
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Effective collaboration skills and ability to engage with multiple stakeholders and quickly build relationships
- Excellent project management/organizational skills, including the ability to multitask, be consistently responsive, and manage changing priorities while meeting often strict deadlines
