Your role
As Product Owner BI Logistics, you are the strategic driver of data value creation within PostNL’s international logistics operation. Your mission is to ensure that every BI initiative delivers measurable impact. Whether by improving operational efficiency, enhancing supply chain transparency, or enabling smarter decision-making across borders.
You own and prioritize the product backlog, working in an Agile setup with a multidisciplinary team of one BI Analyst, three Data Analysts, and two Data Engineers. You work in a BI landscape that includes Power BI Services for data visualization, Redshift and Databricks for data processing, and AWS as our cloud platform. The team also uses DBT Cloud to manage and scale our data pipelines. With the understanding of your BI landscape, you are able to translate the complex business needs, into actionable data solutions, always with a sharp focus on outcomes that matter.
In this international context you collaborate closely with stakeholders from Operations, Finance, IT, and Strategy. You co-define priorities with CBS Logistics stakeholders and report to the BI&A Manager.
Your growing domain expertise allows you to proactively identify opportunities to optimize performance, reduce costs, and increase reliability through data.
You lead the roadmap with a value-first mindset, ensuring that every dashboard, model, and insight contributes to the wider strategic goals. Whether it’s enabling real-time operational decisions, forecasting volume peaks, or analyzing the performance of our network, you make sure the BI Logistics team delivers solutions that scale, resonate, and drive results.

CBS aims to become the most respected service provider by supporting the cross-border e-commerce market through creative and innovative distribution solutions. This international business unit has 13 offices worldwide with 1,200 employees, operating in an agile, customer-focused, and reliable manner. CBS serves customers in over 190 countries.
Within CBS, the Business Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) department provides insights for the entire organization. The BI&A team consists of approximately 25 professionals, organized in domain-focused subteams. You will join the BI Logistics team, which includes:
• 1 BI Analyst
• 3 Data Analysts
• 2 Data Engineers
• 1 Product Owner (this role)
The team works Agile and collaborates closely with stakeholders from Operations, Finance, IT, and Strategy. Together, you translate business questions into valuable insights that improve performance across the logistics domain.

As a Product Owner BI Logistics, you combine a strong business sense with stakeholder management skills and a passion for impact through data. You’re not necessarily a technical expert, but you know how to translate business needs into actionable data solutions and create a shared vision.
You recognize yourself in the following:
• At least 3–5 years of experience in a comparable Product Owner role
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder skills; a natural connector
• Growth mindset with the ability to influence team culture
• Experience with Power BI or similar tools; basic SQL knowledge is a plus
• Used to working across different teams or domains
• Fluent in Dutch
