Join a leading seafood processing facility specializing in fresh and prepared fish products (e.g., cod, pollack, herring, hake, fish snacks, pre-fried items, smoked and marinated fish). The workplace environment is cold (approx. 6°C), and adherence to hygiene and quality standards is essential.
The location is easily accessible by public transport, making it a great opportunity for candidates living in or near Katwijk, Leiden, or The Hague.
Responsibilities
Your duties as a Production Worker will include:
– Sorting and quality-checking seafood (fillets, fish snacks, shellfish) for freshness, size, and defects
– Weighing and portioning products according to strict specifications
– Operating basic production and packaging equipment after training
– Loading seafood into trays, bags, or containers
– Labeling and sealing finished packages correctly
– Maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace throughout the shift
– Following food safety and hygiene protocols at all times
– Supporting team workflow and rotating between packing, labeling, cleaning
– Meeting daily production targets
– Reporting quality issues or malfunctions to supervisors
Candidate profile
– Communicative English or Dutch
– Physically fit and comfortable working in a cold environment (approx. 6°C)
– Attention to detail and responsibility
– Team-player attitude and willingness to follow hygiene rules
– Experience in food production is a plus, but not required
