Project Leader Business Operations

Wageningen University & Research
€ 48.406 - € 61.293 a year
Lelystad, Flevoland
Full time
1 week geleden
Would you like to contribute to the optimization, design, and implementation of business processes and systems as a Project Leader Business Operations at WBVR? Are you the connecting link between management, employees, and operational processes? Can you think strategically while acting pragmatically? Then we are looking for you in Lelystad!

As a Senior Project Leader Business Operations at Wageningen Bioveterinary Research (WBVR), you play a key role in a dynamic and evolving organization. In the coming years, we will implement new processes, replace existing systems, construct state-of-the-art facilities, and improve current workflows.
In this role, you act as a central coordinator between WBVR staff, team leads, support departments, and corporate units. The projects you lead are varied in nature and include both strategic and operational components.

What will you do?
As a Senior Project Leader Business Operations, you are responsible for effectively managing various processes and projects. You ensure that employees, team leads, and management are well-informed throughout each project and that all initiatives are completed accurately and on time.

Your key tasks include:
  • Leading and supporting projects focused on the replacement, optimization, and implementation of business processes and systems.
  • Coordinating procurement procedures and overseeing the renewal of contracts for services provided by WBVR.
  • Enhancing and professionalizing project management within WBVR, including independently defining project goals and managing complex and/or large-scale projects.
  • Monitoring IT systems and data protection in close collaboration with IT specialists and functional administrators.
  • Advising and supporting the functional administrators of various systems used within WBVR, such as the Document/Quality Management System, CRM, and project management tools—particularly during the implementation of new software.
Your team
You will be part of a small team of three colleagues. You work closely with both the management and the support departments, and you report directly to the Manager of Business Operations.
With a positive and constructive mindset, you contribute to the optimization of a professional research and crisis response organization. Wageningen University & Research offers excellent terms of employment. A few highlights from our Collective Labour Agreement include:
  • working hours that can be discussed and arranged so that they allow for the best possible work-life balance;
  • sabbatical leave, study leave, and partially paid parental leave;
  • a fixed year-end bonus of 8,3%;
  • excellent pension scheme.
In addition to these first-rate employee benefits, you will of course receive a good salary. We offer, depending on your experience, a competitive gross salary of between € 3.234,- and € 6.831,- for a full-time working week of 36 hours, in accordance with the CLA Wageningen Research (scale 10 til 12). Additionally, a contract for 32 hours can be discussed. As for your contract, we initially offer a one-year contract that can be extended - if possible within (company) organizational circumstances - on good performance. Of course, we are happy to have a conversation with you if you have any questions about this.

Wageningen University & Research offers plenty of opportunities for growth and development, with a strong internal recruitment policy and excellent training programmes.
