We are now looking for a
Quality Inspector
to join our team. The position is permanent and the preferred location for the position is in Kampen, The Netherlands.
As Quality Inspector, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Inspection of incoming components according to drawings, Work-, Inspection- and Quality Instructions.
- Fill out measurement records and documents according to the Work- and Quality Instructions.
- Creates notifications about quality defects according to the Work Instructions.
- Provides Impulses for the need of new tools, equipment or procedures.
- Provides Impulses for the improvement of drawings, and/or specifications.
- Development and implementation of (new) processes
- Develops own competences.
- Keeping work place and equipment in good condition according to Wartsila requirements.
- Support Warehouse staff regarding questions about incoming and stocked goods.
- Visual inspection if not Wärtsilä design in some cases, other inspection according to standard.
- Stop purchasing process in case of severe quality issues.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have/be:
- Technical degree (Bachelor degree of engineering) or equal thru experience.
- Several years experience in quality inspection
- Expert user knowledge regarding the use of manual/automated measurement equipment.
- Able to adapt inspection methods if the product requires so.
- Knowledge of critical components and their function.
- Certified NDT qualification, XRF, Liquid penetrant, magnetic and ultrasonic testing
- Able to generate technical inspection reports and power point presentations.
- Good Analysing skills (root cause analyses)
- Good communication skills.
- Precise.

- Strong problem solving capacities.

- Cultural understanding
- Fluent in both written and verbally technical English.
- Familiar with logistics systems and environment
