At ibis Budget Amsterdam Airport, we’re looking for a motivated, guest-oriented and reliable full-time receptionist to join our front office team.

We are a vibrant, international team of 17 colleagues running a 199-room hotel just outside Amsterdam. Our service goes beyond what guests might expect from a budget hotel. We like to surprise and delight, and we're proud of the positive energy we bring to both our guests and to each other.
Job Description
Your new role
As a receptionist, you’ll be at the heart of the guest experience. You’ll work morning and evening shifts (see hours below), and your responsibilities will vary depending on the time of day. You’ll handle everything from check-ins and check-outs to giving guests tips about Amsterdam, managing breakfast service, and helping out with admin and light cleaning tasks.
Shifts
Morning: 07:00 – 15:00
Evening: 15:00 – 23:00 / 16:00 – 00:00 / 17:00 – 01:00
Please check in advance if you're able to travel to and from the hotel at these times.
Free parking is available for staff with a car.
Morning shifts:
- Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet
- Rotate between reception, dishwashing, restocking, and cleaning the breakfast area
- Assist guests checking out or arriving early
- Handle phone calls, emails, and administrative tasks
Evening shifts:
- Welcome and check in guests
- Answer questions and give advice about the city
- Do light cleaning (e.g. coffee machine, snack corner)
- Handle administrative work and prepare for the night shift
Qualifications
- You're available for all shifts, including weekends – hotels don’t take days off!
- You speak and write fluent English (Dutch is a plus or you're willing to learn).
- You’re social, calm under pressure, and love helping people.
- You’re not afraid to take responsibility, think on your feet, and handle unexpected situations with a smile.
- You love working in a team, but you can also take initiative when you're working alone.
- You’re passionate about hospitality and want to go the extra mile for our guests.

- Salary in scale V of the hospitality CLA (€2.645,41 gross per month)
