Job Description
Make your mark as rigger foreman at Boskalis! As a rigger foreman you will ensure that lifting, rigging and deck activities are scheduled and executed according to plan and procedures. You will report to the shift superintendent. You need to be well organized and have the ability to plan your work to make sure everything is realized with in time frame, ships and weather limits. You bring good communication with supervisors, you act as an ambassador of Boskalis to clients and are a good example of safe working practice on vessel to all crew.
Your responsibilities as rigger foreman
- Ensuring a safe working environment for crew members on deck. Understanding and ensuring compliance with relevant company’s (safety) guidelines and procedures (especially the NINA safety behavior program).
- Deviating the works and assigning tasks to the deck rigging crew.
- Ensuring tidiness and well - maintained condition of deck.
- Monitoring consumption of spare parts and stock for the deck department.
- Ensuring that all equipment is certified, in good working condition and ready to use.
Your qualities and experience
You can move ahead as a rigger foreman you have:
- Secondary Vocational Education level and Banksman & Slinger (stage 1&2) (OPITO 9067).
- At least 5 years work experience as Rigger and In depth knowledge of rigging, lifting, banking and slinging.
- Experience in supervising a team.
- A good command of written and spoken English.
- You’re willing to work on location for up to 4-6 weeks at a time, followed by up to 4-6 weeks’ leave with some flexibility.

- Full/part-time job: The position of rigger foreman is an Offshore role with a 6 weeks on – 6 weeks off rotation.
