The challenge we’re setting for you: learn to hunt and open doors
Are you curious, determined, and eager to jumpstart a career in sustainability and business development? This internship is designed for ambitious go-getters who want hands-on experience in opening doors, qualifying prospects, and supporting deal-closing efforts. You’ll learn to spark client relationships, master sustainability solutions, and contribute to Nexio’s growth story; accelerating your commercial skills in a purpose-driven environment.
What you'll own & learn
Support pipeline building: work alongside our business development team to research prospects and generate qualified leads in sectors like manufacturing, logistics, packaging, chemicals, and services.
Engage and qualify: reach out to potential clients through calls, emails, and virtual meetings to understand their sustainability challenges and communicate Nexio’s value.
Assist in proposal preparation: help craft tailored sales materials and technical content about EcoVadis, carbon reporting, climate risk, and ESG solutions.
Coordinate sales processes: assist in managing CRM pipelines, tracking KPIs, and preparing meetings with prospects and clients.
Gain market insights: learn how to analyse competitive positioning and client needs in a fast-evolving sustainability marketplace.
Celebrate progress: participate in regular team meetings, feedback cycles, and culture-building activities to foster your growth.
Within your 6-month internship, you'll have:
Supported the sales team in building a qualified pipeline of prospects with measurable progress.
Gained confidence in client outreach and relationship-building within sustainability sectors.
Contributed to the creation of compelling sales proposals aligned with client needs and sustainability frameworks.
Developed key skills in CRM management, sales communications, and collaborative teamwork.
Established a strong foundation to launch a future career in sustainability business development or consulting.
Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Business, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related fields.Passionate about sustainability and eager to learn how to connect purpose-driven solutions with client needs.
Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage potential clients and team members professionally.
Self-starter attitude with a willingness to take initiative and work in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.
Detail-oriented and organised, comfortable learning to use CRM and sales productivity tools, including AI tools for sales and marketing.
Fluency in English is required; Dutch, French, or other European languages are a strong plus.
Motivated by challenge, learning, and working collaboratively towards impact.
