As a Senior Full-Stack Developer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of geo-intelligence by building scalable, high-performance applications that power the VirGeo® platform. You’ll work across the stack to create seamless, data-rich user experiences that simplify complex workflows and deliver real-world impact.
Your Role
Design and develop full-stack web applications using modern frameworks and languages (e.g., React, Node.js, Python).
Build interactive, map-based tools with real-time data integration, layer control, and spatial editing.
Integrate open-source, proprietary, and third-party GIS components from global partners.
Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and domain experts to define user-centric technical solutions.
Implement efficient data structures and caching strategies to optimize performance.
Manage geo-referenced data and integrate third-party APIs (e.g., weather, traffic).
Ensure code quality through testing, documentation, and best practices.
Contribute to architectural decisions and mentor junior developers.
Stay current with emerging technologies and advocate for continuous improvement.
Your Track Record
8+ years of experience in full-stack development, ideally in enterprise or data-intensive environments.
Strong front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and experience with frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Back-end experience with Python, Java, or Node.js, and familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices.
Experience with modern identity & access management patterns and technologies.
Proficiency with mapping libraries (e.g., Leaflet, Mapbox, OpenLayers) and spatial data handling.
Solid understanding of state management, performance optimization, and responsive design.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Bonus Points
Experience building geo-data platforms or spatial interfaces.
Knowledge of marine, offshore, or remote sensing workflows.
Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and IAM technologies.
Interest in geosciences, surveying, or environmental data.
Familiarity with human-centered design and product thinking.
