The Team
The Tommy Hilfiger LAB division is the pinnacle team managing all brand partnership project within Tommy Hilfiger Global. Based in the Amsterdam European HQ, the team is managing the end-to-end process on partner related product collections working in close exchange with Design and Product Development. Beyond the team plans all Market Merchandising related responsibilities in the phase of go-to market such as forecasting, tiering and distribution and final order in take in close alignment with the global regions.
The Position
As a member of the Merchandising team the Senior Merchandiser takes the ownership of the partner related product strategy and merchandising reporting directly into the Senior Merchandising Director LAB. The role includes working on product strategies for potential partnerships in alignment with Global Marketing and the Tommy Hilfiger Leadership team in order to amplify and energise brands product engine and positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee product strategy and merchandising plans for brand partnerships
- Work collaboratively with Lab Senior Merchandising Director to create seasonal strategies for upcoming partnerships.
- Create analyses on the performance of partnerships pre and post launch: sales results, pricing architecture, product assortment, distribution and tiering.
- Build strong relationships with the Design & Product Development teams to build an efficient way to execute collection as well as strong interaction with Marketing team and Markets in order to maximise impact of launch
- Support markets and marketing with sampling plan for seeding, marketing shoots and sell-in needs.
- Oversee the Forecasting of the line to identify any potential risks, opportunities & to aid in capacity/fabric pre bookings.
- Management of PLM systems for the team, ensuring data integrity at all times.
- Identify & implement best practices to ensure effective use of time & maximum output in the team.
- High skillset in managing multiple projects at different stages of the creation and go to market process and ability to adapt work with different timelines
- Management of legal and financial terms for partnerships during busy periods.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years of existing experience in working with collaborations as part of a merchandising or buying role is essential
- Knowledge of global, non-European markets is a strong advantage
- Product focused, a keen eye for aesthetic
- Ability to analyse large amounts of data & to build a narrative around trends/patterns in the data
- Team player with an ability to develop, foster, and leverage strong cross-functional relationships with Design, PD, Sales, Marketing, etc.
- Proactive with a willingness to learn and strong attention to detail
- Organisation skills & an ability to manage multiple projects/seasons simultaneously
- Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
- Excellent Microsoft Office Skills, specifically Excel
- Experience with PLM style management system
- Fluent in English, both written & verbal
- Passionate about the Tommy Hilfiger Brand and products
