Job Description

As the Solution Architect Agentic AI, you will spearhead the design and implementation of scalable Agentic AI architectures and frameworks – partnering with enterprise and unit architects to power KPN’s autonomous networks. You will create intelligent agents that observe, decide, and act to optimize performance in real time. Working together with business stakeholders, domain experts, and engineering teams, you will deliver end-to-end AI driven network solutions to shape the future of self-managing networks.

Key daily responsibilities:

• Define the Agentic AI architecture across KPN’s IT, ICT and network domains, aligned with enterprise architecture standards and strategic technology direction.
• Design complex (Agentic) AI driven end-to-end chain solutions, with a focus on automated network assurance, predictive maintenance and customer-centric fulfilment.
• Translate long-term ICT/IT developments into actionable strategy and technical blueprints that shape the autonomous network roadmap.
• Create and validate business cases and architectural impact analyses, identifying investment needs, risks and performance benchmarks.
• Develop and enforce architectural standards and guidelines, ensuring consistency, security and maintainability across (Agentic) AI implementations.
• Drive the implementation of MLOps and DataOps frameworks, including CI/CD pipelines, model lifecycle management and streaming analytics.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams – including product managers, solution designers, engineers, network specialists – to align technical delivery with business priorities.
• Lead Proof-of-Concepts and pilot projects, validating innovative (Agentic) AI technologies and frameworks for scalability and enterprise adoption.
• Continuously monitor and assimilate advancements in (Agentic) AI, reinforcement learning, and network automation to enhance innovation within the solution landscape.
• Coach and develop technical talent, contributing to internal capability building and thought leadership within the Agentic AI and Data department.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you bring:

• Minimum of 7 years in IT architecture or solution design roles, with at least 4 years focused on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Autonomous Networks or a closely related discipline.
• Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Econometrics, Operations Research, Mathematics or a comparable technical discipline.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering production-grade AI/ML systems that convert advanced algorithms into measurable business value.
• Familiarity with Agentic AI architectures – multi-agent frameworks, reinforcement learning and agent-based simulations.
• Hands-on expertise building custom AI and machine-learning models end-to-end: data ingestion, feature engineering, model selection, training, validation and optimization for real-world use.
• Strong MLOps and DataOps skills: designing CI/CD pipelines for models and data, version control (e.g. MLFlow), automated testing and continuous monitoring.
• Expertise in cloud and hybrid infrastructures (AWS, Azure, and on-premises), plus containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with real-time data and streaming analytics platforms in event-driven environments.
• Solid grasp of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF) and the ability to translate business strategy into technical blueprints.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder-management skills: you build trust, secure alignment and make complex ideas accessible.
• Agile-mindset and collaborative spirit: you partner seamlessly with solution designers, product owners and engineers to drive autonomous-network initiatives forward.
