Johnson & Johnsons Innovative Medicine (JJIM) is currently recruiting a (Sr.) Supervisor QC Sample Management Team (SMT) within our Quality Control (Qc), which has a key role in supporting the QC testing departments situated at the J&J manufacturing site in Leiden, with one year limited contract.
The Qc SMT is responsible for sample reception, distribution, logging process, placing on stability and the gatekeeper of the inventory, process improvements and other tasks. Creating and maintaining a good work culture (high credo score) is also an important responsibility. We are looking for an additional (Sr.) Supervisor who will lead the sample management team together with two colleagues to ensure the day-to-day operation. SMT is part of the QC Lab Services (Qc LS) department, and you will be member of the Qc LS leadership team
As a QC Supervisor SMT, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Technical and job specific
• Supervise a team of up to +/-10 direct reports and is accountable for the personnel in the
team and their performance & development
• Ensure that all departmental activities are carried out in accordance with company policies,
procedures, and regulations.
• Supervisor assures all sample management-related elements are in place e.g., samples,
procedures, trained personnel etc. to complete all activities in a timely manner.
• The Supervisor oversees all critical activities (e.g., delays) and ensures adequate priority
setting accordingly. If necessary, undertake actions independently and assure a relevant
action plan is in place.
• The Supervisor deals appropriately with any deviations, corresponding CAPAs, investigation,
answer internal and external inspection, lead inspection for own team
• Responsible for headcount and OPEX
• The Supervisor is responsible for following up on relevant KPIs, which include but are not
limited to, 5S/housekeeping, PMP, …
• Representing the lab in cross-departmental teams and QC Cascade DRI
• Identify areas of improvement within the team, processes and drive continuous improvement invitation to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Take leadership of sample management team compliance pillar, ensuring that all procedures, documents are up to date and aligned with regulatory requirement
• Prepare and present regular updates to management on performance, compliance, and
improvement projects.
Managerial
• Mentors, coaches, trains, and develops the personnel on the team, evaluates performance,and provides opportunities for growth.
• Manages the planning and resource allocation of the team. Prioritize, escalate, and ensure the stakeholders are aware of the deliverables and timelines.
• Create a team environment that fosters continuous improvement and critical and creative thinking.
Finally, you will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and
guidelines related to safety, health, environmental procedures, data generation and
maintenance in accordance with current regulatory requirements.
