We are seeking a Sustainability Analyst with a strong background in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management and sustainable finance. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing and overseeing the bank's ESG strategy, ensuring compliance with sustainable finance regulations, and integrating sustainability into the bank's core activities.
Your role:
- Spearhead the implementation of ESG assessments across the bank's portfolio.
- Manage ESG risks in financial transactions, ensuring alignment with sustainable finance principles.
- Provide technical advisory support to front offices on sustainable finance transactions.
- Support ESG data collection, validation, and reporting processes, ensuring high-quality and standardized sustainability metrics.
- Actively contribute to group-wide sustainability strategy alignment initiatives, ensuring consistency across the organization.
- Oversee sustainable finance transactions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Develop and implement ESG policies, risk appetite frameworks, and climate transition plans.
- Establish and continuously improve sustainability training programs for internal stakeholders.
- Monitor emerging sustainability trends and regulatory changes in the financial sector, providing strategic insights.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of sustainability disclosures, both internally and externally.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure sustainable finance transactions meet regulatory requirements.
- Work with internal stakeholders to develop tools for measuring and reporting sustainability impacts

Skills/Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of ESG risks, sustainable finance, and regulatory frameworks such as EU Taxonomy, CSRD, and ESG Pillar III.
- Experience in physical and transition risk assessments.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in English; Dutch is a preferred
Education:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Relevant professional experience in sustainability, climate risk, ESG, or sustainable finance topics.
- Experience in the banking or financial services sector is considered a strong plus.
