At a glance
With a constant focus from our stakeholders and regulators on climate and other sustainability-related topics, the bank's external reporting will have to comply with new requirements. Do you know how to link traditional financial reporting with sustainability? You like to understand the complex and rapidly changing playing field of non-financial reporting requirements and to come up with a practical proposal for ABN AMRO's reports based on a good analysis. You easily identify interests of various internal and external stakeholders and are able to come to solutions that give a faithful representation of the bank's performance. We are curious to hear your ideas to improve our reporting and processes.
Your job
You will become part of the sustainability reporting team, which is part of the IFRS reporting team. Together with colleagues from different departments like Sustainability Centre of Excellence, Regulatory Policies and Risk, you will be working on analyses from regulations and translate these into concrete implementation actions and disclosures. Currently, we are working on implementing European regulations and initiatives like the EU Taxonomy, the new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and the climate strategy of the bank. Working together and convincing others with your ideas is key.
Next to the project-related work you support the periodic reporting of the bank. Examples are validating sustainability-related figures and asking critical questions about the provided figures by the business and Accounting. The ability to understand the real story behind our sustainability figures and explain these to internal and external stakeholders is key for this role.
Working environment
The department IFRS-Reporting is located at our head office in Amsterdam. The department consists of the teams Consolidation, External Reporting and Sustainable Finance Reporting. We are ambitious, enthusiastic, proactive, and we are convinced that there is always room for improvement. We strive for achieving results without losing sight of employee satisfaction.
