ING Bank Client Tax Services in the Netherlands is looking for an enthusiastic, self starting and naturally curious Tax Operations Specialist who will be helping ING and all its Subsidiaries and Branches to comply with Client Tax Withholding and Reporting obligations.
You will be part of a diverse & international team (approx.. 25 FTE in Amsterdam) comprising of operations, change and expert staff, supported by teams in Warsaw, Manilla and Bratislava. You are willing to learn and develop in a niche, specialist tax expertise area, where data, regulations and operations come together.
The team
Client Tax Services is a small, highly specialized unit that fulfils the ING tax obligations related to:
• US Tax Withholding and reporting (USW);
• FATCA/CRS reporting (F/C);
• DAC6 reporting;
• CESOP reporting;
• Client Form Validation;
• Tax Documentation re. Relief at Source and Tax reclaim;
• QI & FATCA Certifications IRS.
The objective of the department is to ensure that ING meets its client tax reporting obligations and is compliant with the tax regulations in the countries in which it operates. We provide shared solutions and are client and result driven.
Roles and Responsibilities
As Tax Operations Specialist you will be involved in and perform various operational activities to fulfil the departments objectives, but will also work on data analysis and help implement new (software) solutions & tools. Regular communications with different stakeholders across ING in English is integral to the work.
The activities are amongst others the following:
Validate US tax forms (W8/W9) and document in appropriate systems
Support reporting on:
FATCA & CRS
US Withholding,
CESOP, and
DAC6;
Support reporting, filing and reclaiming non US Withholding Tax
Support and actively work on improving internal processes and service operations
Perform various tasks related to maintaining the department operations, such as:
Communications to LFCs (newsletters, calls, ad hoc questions)
Detailed investigative work on specialist topics
Data quality investigations and analyses

Basic tax knowledge & understanding on specific areas such as US withholding, FATCA, CRS, DAC6 and CESOP;
Basic experience with and interest in data analysis;
Experience in working with systems, data and processes;
Proactive, Can-Do, No Surprises and Positive mind-set, overall service minded with a healthy work ethic and a willingness to collaborate;
Strong interpersonal and communication (orally and in writing) skills;
You are a team player with the ability to operate individually;
Fluent in English;
