About the role
As a Vendor Operations Analyst in the Customer Operations team, you’ll play a pivotal role in enabling scalable, data driven vendor strategy. This role supports the delivery, tracking, and optimisation of third party services that underpin our global claims and customer support operations, including BPOs, subscription based platforms, and specialised service vendors.
To succeed in this role, you’ll combine strong analytical skills with cross-functional coordination and market awareness. You’ll help assess emerging trends, perform market research on vendor capabilities, and support build-vs-buy decisions that align with our operational and growth goals.
You’ll work closely with Directors of Customer Operations, Product Managers, Procurement, Legal, and external vendors to ensure our vendor ecosystem supports our pace of expansion and service excellence.
What will your day look like? You will...
- Own vendor performance reporting, including SLA adherence, cost trends, issue escalation, and impact analysis
- Sourcing vendors and supporting end-to-end vendor onboarding, including due diligence, contracting coordination, and stakeholder alignment
- Conduct vendor and market research to identify emerging tools, technologies, or services that could drive scale, efficiency, or customer experience improvements
- Contribute to buy-vs-build analysis by assessing vendor value versus internal capability development
- Maintain centralised vendor documentation, SOPs, and enablement resources to ensure operational readiness and compliance
- Identify and communicate risks or inefficiencies, using data and structured insight to influence decisions
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure vendor-delivered services align with the customer journey and product architecture
To help us level up, you'll ideally have:
- 4+ years of experience in commercial operations, vendor management, strategy execution, or operational analytics within high-growth or tech-driven environments
- Track record of supporting scalable solutions in fast-paced or growth-stage environments
- Strong analytical acumen with proven ability to distill operational data into clear insights and recommendations — experience with BI tools like Looker, Superset, or Tableau
- Familiarity with SQL or willingness to learn, enough to query datasets and validate insights independently
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Procurement to manage external vendors, tools, or platforms across multiple markets or verticals.
- Demonstrated ability to support buy-vs-build assessments, cost/benefit analyses, and vendor performance reviews
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field; a postgraduate degree or track record of academic achievement is a plus.
