Hangcha Group Co., Ltd. is the largest privately-owned manufacturer of forklifts, mobile access platforms, towing tractors, and warehouse trucks in China. Founded in 1956, the company now produces over 250,000 units annually.
To enhance product quality and service in Europe, HangCha established its European Service Center in Almere Buiten in 2021. This location holds over 15,000 parts in stock and serves as a technical support and training hub.
In the Netherlands, new HangCha trucks are prepared and distributed to dealers nationwide from this center.
Due to rapid growth, HangCha Netherlands is looking for a:
Warehouse Manager
As a Warehouse Manager, you will oversee daily warehouse operations in the Netherlands, ensuring efficiency, inventory accuracy, and timely order processing. You will lead a team to drive operational excellence. We seek a motivated leader with strong analytical skills; experience in EU cross-border logistics is a plus.
What do we ask:
- MBO or higher degree, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering Management; candidates with EU cross-border warehousing experience are preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse management experience; candidates with experience leading teams of 5 or more are preferred. Logistics shipping/international logistics background is a plus.
- Possession of a warehouse forklift certificate or certified forklift driving experience is a plus.
- Strong sense of responsibility, analytical thinking, communication, adaptability, and crisis management skills. Highly logical with a data-driven mindset.
Your tasks:
- Develop and implement annual/monthly warehouse operational plans, including space planning, optimization of inbound/outbound processes, and SOP establishment.
- Fully manage daily warehouse operations: receiving, inspection, put-away, picking, packing, inventory counting, and shipping coordination.
- Ensure inventory data accuracy via cycle counts, ERP/WMS reconciliation, and regular reporting.
- Coordinate outbound logistics: order tracking, prioritization, shipping documents (ASN, BoL), carrier arrangement, and handling of delivery issues/returns.
- Monitor KPIs such as inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, picking error rate, and warehouse cost ratio.
- Lead and manage warehouse staff: recruitment, training, performance evaluation, supervision, and career path planning.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g., purchasing, customer service, customs, carriers) to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
- Drive warehouse digitization and automation improvements (e.g., barcoding, RFID, WMS). Ensure all operations comply with local health, safety, and environmental regulations. Organize safety training and emergency drills.
