The Warehouse function is focused on ensuring orders are expedited and despatched to customers in a timely manner and keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and in line with company procedures. This is a hands on role, which will suit a well organised, self-motivated individual, wishing to build a long term career, with the potential to move into management.
The activities as Warehouse person include the following:
- Manage all shipments to customers across Europe
- Picking and shipping orders, in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, ensuring all items are correctly labeled
- Ensure stock is correct
- Management of equipment, tools, instruments and PPE
- Checking goods before shipment
- Checking received goods and storing them appropriately
- Driving and operating forklifts (and reach trucks)
- Loading and unloading of (freight) cars
- Taking care of the warehouse, cleaning up and cleaning the workplace
- Taking care of and transporting equipment
- Keeping records of own activities and timesheets
- Planning own activities
- Daily contact with Head Office in the UK
- Answering the phone and tracking and answering emails
- Handling returns and repairs
- Application of legal, safety, company and work regulations
