Business Analyst - Finance
As a Business Analyst - Finance, you will act as a strategic link between our Finance teams and IT delivery functions, translating business needs into clear, actionable solutions. You’ll lead the analysis and documentation process, ensuring business requirements are aligned with technical execution across finance-related projects. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented analyst who thrives in an Agile environment and can work cross-functionally to deliver high-impact outcomes. Your work will directly contribute to operational efficiency, process optimization, and technology alignment across the finance landscape.
What you will do
Analyze, document, and translate business requirements in the Finance domain into clear user stories, use cases, and functional specifications.
Serve as a key liaison between finance stakeholders and IT delivery teams throughout the full project lifecycle.
Support the Product Owner in backlog management, prioritization, and roadmap alignment based on business value.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Ensure traceability of requirements from definition through delivery and user acceptance.
Maintain high-quality, user-friendly documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and other IT domains to ensure successful project execution.
Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for process improvements.
Lead or support user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation with key stakeholders.
Take ownership of timely and accurate delivery of all analysis and documentation tasks.
Who you are
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
3–7 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst within IT–Finance projects.
Proficient in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like Jira and Confluence.
Strong skills in creating detailed documentation including functional/non-functional requirements and user stories.
Experience working with financial systems and data workflows.
Understanding of finance process optimization, including process mapping and identifying inefficiencies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex topics clearly.
Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and results orientation.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (MSD365) is a plus.
