Formed through the merger of UK-based Engineered Performance Coatings (EPC) and Dutchbased Flame Spray Technologies (FST), and supported by Batavorum Capital, STS Group combines decades of expertise in coating application, equipment design, and consumable supply. The position
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for leading and executing the overarching company's financial and operational (growth) strategy, managing financial opportunities and risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The CFO will play a key role in creating and sustaining growth, building shared services and leading integrations, but also guides other -non-financial- departments (like IT, HR, Operations, Legal etc.) and initiates overarching change processes with them to improve the effectiveness of the entire organization. Where the CEO of STS focuses on the long-term vision, commercial strategy, and overall strategic direction and acquisitions, the CFO is therefore responsible for executing strategy and guiding the General Managers of the different locations and ensures organizational alignment with the strategic goals.
The ideal candidate for the CFO position at STS Group will have both a solid professional and entrepreneurial background and has a trackrecord of driving (financial) success in growth oriented companies. The CFO is a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills, but also with a down to earth mentality and possesses leadership qualities with the ability to develop business results and teams.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc degree, preferably in Business Economics.
- Extensive CFO/FD experience (>5 years) in a similar company (turnover >€50mio).
- Broad management experience, for example in IT, HR, etc. and preferably in manufacturing management.
- Successful experience in professionalizing midmarket firms (private equity owned).
- Experience with leading impactful transitions and acquisitions.
- Knowledge and at least affinity for a technology driven B2B setting (preferably in project oriented business).
- Skilled as a committed sparring partner for business owner(s).
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
- International work experience.
- Willing to travel frequently.
- Fluent in English.
