The Team
Within the Store Development team, our mission is to deliver high-quality, strategically aligned store development projects, by adapting global brand concepts to regional needs, and driving end-to-end store and Shop-in-Shop projects that strengthen brand presence and customer engagement across EMEA. The SD Supply Chain team serves as the backbone of Store Development with a focus on demand & supply planning, stock purchasing, inventory, order and Logistics Service Provider (3PL) management. and collaborates with Project Management and Implementation teams, Brands, Markets, IT and Finance to drive a best in class store experience. With leading the team, the role contributes significantly to the department's overall success and strategic growth.
The Position
As a Director SD Supply Chain and Purchasing, you will be crucial to the EMEA Store Development team. You will oversee and manage the supply chain and logistics operations in support of store development projects, window campaigns and consumable packaging in the fashion retail industry. You have a proven track record of success in leading and continuously improving supply chain processes, managing teams, driving operational efficiencies, and ensuring timely and correct delivery of materials in support of store development and regional retail teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:
Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals of the Store Development department, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
Manage and optimize all aspects of the supply chain, including planning, purchasing, inventory management, order management, transportation, distribution and mobilization.
Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, improve service levels and increase profitability.
Implement best practices for supply chain management to ensure timely and effective execution of operational supply chain activities
Operations:
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and materials to internal and external customers
Work cross-functionally with other departments, including retail (regional), finance (control & risk), procurement, marketing and trade operations, to ensure alignment and achieve store development goals.
Analyze supply chain data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to drive performance.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including trade compliance, customs, quality, and environmental/ sustainability regulations
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and other key stakeholders to ensure the supply chain is reliable and effective
Note: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, those listed above. The role may require additional tasks and duties as assigned to meet the needs of the department and organization.
Measures of Success
OTIF: % on time and in full delivery
Inventory level: budget for stock
Write off cost: budget for phased out inventory
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
10+ years of experience in supply chain management and logistics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and technologies, including procurement, inventory management, transportation, and distribution.
Experience managing a team of supply chain professionals and driving operational improvements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in the manufacturing or distribution industry is a plus.
Familiarity with ERP systems and other supply chain management software is preferred.
