As a Distribution Manager within the Tesla EMEA Distribution organization, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and efficient distribution of Service and Energy parts to service centers, vehicle collision repair partners, and Tesla customers, including e-commerce channels.
This dynamic position places you at the helm of our main EMEA warehouse operations, including satellite facilities in the Tilburg area. You will oversee all aspects of warehouse management while driving strategic initiatives to optimize processes, enhance supply chain efficiency, and elevate customer satisfaction.
Beyond operational leadership, this role demands exceptional problem solving, project management, and cross functional collaboration skills. You will inspire and guide teams, influence stakeholders, and champion continuous improvement to meet and exceed organizational goals.
What You'll Do
- Operational Leadership: Oversee and direct daily operations and teams at the Global Distribution Center (GDC) and other designated warehouses, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
- Order Fulfillment Excellence: Guarantee accurate and timely order fulfillment (OTIF), including receiving, storing, and handling of goods across Service Parts, Energy Products, and e-commerce channels.
- Performance Optimization: Proactively identify and implement opportunities to enhance performance standards and reduce costs, using established KPI metrics as a baseline.
- Strategic Planning: Drive short, mid, and long term planning for warehouse needs, including space, systems, productivity, and staffing, by leveraging resource and capacity tools in collaboration with HR and engineering teams.
- Cross Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Service and Logistics teams to maintain high service levels and uncover opportunities for improvement.
- Inventory and Space Management: Maximize warehouse space utilization, optimize bulk and rack locations, and ensure stock accuracy through robust inventory practices.
- Safety and Compliance: Foster a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to company and regulatory health, safety, and security policies.
- Reporting and Insights: Deliver accurate, comprehensive reports on activities, costs, and performance metrics to senior management for informed decision making.
What You'll Bring
- Education: HBO degree in Warehouse Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent experience demonstrating a comparable level of expertise.
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience leading large scale warehouse operations in a time critical, high quality environment, ideally within automotive or service parts supply chains.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to build, lead, and motivate high performing teams to achieve and surpass business objectives.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of transportation logistics; extensive knowledge of inventory management and handling of dangerous goods and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- People Management: Exceptional skills in team leadership, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive, results driven culture.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic Competencies: Demonstrated leadership in achieving and exceeding business goals; ability to prioritize effectively to ensure seamless operations and track record of implementing a continuous improvement culture.
- Operational Skills: Strong planning, organizational, and problem solving abilitie and capacity to manage multiple priorities, organize workloads, and meet tight deadlines.
