We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Legal Manager to join our growing legal team within Play North.
The ideal candidate will focus primarily on commercial contracts and provide broad legal support across the business. The Legal Manager shall report to the Director of Legal.
This role is on a fully remote basis.

Responsibilities:
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts including but not limited to software licensing agreements, corporate and finance agreements, marketing agreements, and other vendor contracts.
- Conduct thorough legal research and stay updated on legislative and regulatory changes to guide and safeguard the company's compliance and interests.
- Provide clear, practical legal advice on contractual matters to internal stakeholders, interpreting complex legal frameworks and business needs to enable strategic decision-making in a fast-paced gaming environment.
- Mitigate legal risks and guide various stakeholders on risk mitigation strategies
- Handle ad-hoc legal matters across the business, including employment law, data privacy and intellectual property.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards.
- Support the Director of Legal on wider legal projects as needed including improving contract management tools.
- Liaise with internal teams to deliver solutions quickly and effectively.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience as a practicing lawyer, with at least 3 years specifically within the gaming, interactive entertainment, or digital media sector.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with Intellectual Property (IP) law, particularly as it applies to software, content, and brands.
- In-depth knowledge of the Dutch legal system, demonstrable in-depth knowledge and practical experience with Dutch employment law.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and advisory skills.
- Strong written and spoken English and Dutch language.
