The EMEA Lead Commercial Analyst is responsible for providing sales territory/customer data insights and analysis of sales performance indicators to respective local/regional sales leadership teams in EMEA (Europe +EEMEA, including CEE &RKI). In parallel, the Lead Commercial Analyst is responsible for driving usage of our advanced analytics tools within your assigned division, training the commercial teams on our new BI tools, feed marketing plans with external market data and customer segmentation. He/she will be responsible for defining the requirements up to the implementation of innovative commercial analytics applications within the division while leveraging our global IT platforms (AAS – Lynx and Clarity) and govern relevant marketing product hierarchies and a set of divisional sales reports.
Part of the Business Enablement Solutions Department, this is a key commercial analytics role to help Stryker deliver its sales growth strategy in Europe.
Together with the other Commercial Analysts and BI Experts, the Centre of Excellence (COE) Analytics team will create scalable, analytical capabilities in partnership with Global IT which enable all the Divisions/Country commercial teams to reduce time spent on data searching, cleaning, reporting and shift focus towards running the business with supporting facts, insights and foresights.
The Lead Commercial Analyst will act – reporting to a commercial analytics manager– as single point of analytics expert contact for one division covering EMEA and CEE&RKI sales and marketing leadership teams of Europe when building innovative , analytical sales operations processes & tools across Europe and train sales/marketing users on new BI tools in multiple markets, he/she will be responsible for the implementation of new solutions within the respective commercial teams and ensure a set of standardized European sales performance reports continue to meet the needs of a changing sales structure.
Moreover, the Lead Commercial Analyst will strongly collaborate with the other Divisional commercial Analytics team-members, Data Engineers and BI Analysts, leveraging the newly build advanced analytics tools as to give market data insight based consultancy during the yearly process of new sales territories & sales targets setting.

Key Activities & Accountabilities:
- Translate divisional stakeholder requirements to potential data analytics solutions independently.
- Build and improve SQL queries, Power BI dashboards and process automation that will gear the reporting and insights capabilities.
- Develop and process new data streams / pipelines, implement new processes and tools to enable standardized sales KPI reporting by geographies, products, customers, and sales reps.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales operation analyst and BI analyst to support monthly and year end process.
- Lead end to end data analytics project for your divisions, from problem and requirements definition to code validation and deployment.
- Develop and maintain scalable and efficient data capabilities (incl. external data sources)
- Work with the Divisional leadership teams to ensure performance reporting, KPIs and analysis reflect the business objectives.
- Responsible for building org capability in data driven target setting.
- Participate in cross-functional European or Global projects.
- Deliver actionable insights, KPIs, dashboards for supporting the respective VPGM and the team. Take part in initiatives to drive governance of master data.
- Analyze Stryker and external data incl. indicator market share data. Report on market share trends leveraging industry Association data and scalable analytical data models.
Requirements
- At least 4 years’ related experience in a multicultural environment
- Fluent English - A key part of this role will be to work with international stakeholders across the world.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Information Systems, or similar technical degree preferred
- 4+ years of work experience required
Preferred
- Knowledge of an additional EU language is a plus.
- Master's or higher degree in a related discipline preferred
Competencies:
- Effective communication skills, able to present complex data sets to senior sales management, influencing without authority
- Skilled in data transformation and cleansing and relational database and data modeling concepts
- Skilled in data governance concepts including the need for documented definitions, calculations, sources, lineage, etc.
- Experience leading end-to-end data analytics projects: from problem and requirements definition to code/model validation and deployment
- Data governance concepts including the need for documented definitions, calculations, sources, lineage, etc.
- Experienced with Azure, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric
- Experienced in at least two programming language central to data analytics (SQL, Python, DAX)
- Nice to have: Power Apps knowledge, Microsoft certifications
