Optiver is seeking an operationally strategic and creative Event Manager to lead the design, planning, and delivery of both internal and external events. This role focuses on building scalable, brand-aligned experiences that support employee engagement, recruitment, and business visibility. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, the Event Manager plays a pivotal role in transforming event concepts into high-impact experiences—from early ideation through execution and evaluation. This includes leading the creative direction and planning of branded merchandise to complement event and campaign objectives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead the strategy, planning, and creative development for key events and programs (e.g. Optiver Weekend, milestone celebrations, recruitment events).
Own end-to-end lifecycle management: brief development, stakeholder engagement, budgeting, vendor sourcing, logistics, and post-event reporting.
Align events and merchandise campaigns with Optiver's business priorities, brand, and culture.
Design thoughtful, innovative experiences that engage diverse internal and external audiences.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Recruiting, HR, Marketing, and Office Operations to ensure alignment and operational readiness.
Partner with external agencies, suppliers, and venues; oversee contracts and legal review where applicable.
Track budgets and manage ROI reporting on event and merchandise investment.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior event staff and contribute to process improvement and team knowledge sharing.
WHO YOU ARE
5+ years in event strategy, corporate planning, or experiential marketing
Proven success designing and executing multi-stakeholder events and merchandise campaigns
Strong project management and vendor negotiation skills
Creative thinker with a practical, delivery-focused mindset
Confident communicator, comfortable with cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, budgeting tools, and event planning platforms
Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends and travel as needed
