At a glance
As an External Reporting professional, you and the team are responsible for ABN AMRO's key external financial reports, such as (semi-)annual reports, quarterly reports, and prospectuses. An important aspect of this is integrated reporting on both financial and non-financial information. You ensure that not only the profit and loss statement is clear, but also deal with a wide range of topics such as the execution of our strategy and its impact on people and the environment. To ensure coherence with the annual report, you work closely with experts from Finance, Communications, Strategy, Sustainability, and Investor Relations. It's an interesting combination of substantive work, project management, and stakeholder management!
Your job
Our ambitions are high, and the market and regulators set high standards for our reports. Therefore, it is crucial to continually improve and adjust our reports and processes. This translation is a challenge for you! You will liaise with colleagues from investor relations, controlling, risk management, and accounting. You also monitor the quality and consistency of the report contents and provide advice on process and content aspects. You enjoy being hands-on to implement improvements.
In your work, you often think like an auditor. You ask whether the correct steps in the process have been carried out and documented, and you look analytically and communicatively at the texts and figures in our reports. At the beginning of the process, you are asked what should be included in the report. Here, you look at history, but more importantly, at market developments, new laws and regulations, and what our stakeholders demand from the bank. After this step, you work on execution, monitoring actions and tight deadlines. Where necessary, you liaise with all parties within the bank involved in this process.
