Finance administrator

Contract: part-time, permanent
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Finance Administrator is accountable for:
- Ensuring the financial administration of Mentor Medical Systems B.V. (MMS BV) and Mentor BV (MBV) is performed effectively, efficiently and compliantly.
- Ownership for preparing, processing and recording all incoming invoices and outgoing payments.
- All other financial & administrative tasks, as required.
The key responsibilities & the impact YOU will have:
- Checking, processing and posting of all supplier invoices.
- Prepare invoices related to intercompany GMED.
- Execute timely and correct payments related to invoices from domestic, foreign and intercompany suppliers.
- Process all bank statements in a timely manner and prepare reconciliations.
- Prepare reports for periodic VAT returns.
- Financial point of contact on Purchase to Pay 3-way match and ability to bring improvements in the area.
- Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to next management level and Business partners.
- Support all applicable month-end close activities as well as prepare (ad hoc) financial analyses.
- Backup as appropriate for other tasks related to Accounts Payable.
- Comply with all applicable environmental, safety and occupational health policies
- Perform other duties assigned as needed as digital and paper archive.
IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU
What you need to succeed:
- Min. 3 years working experience in financial/administrative environment.
- Educated to (minimum) MBO BA (financial-administrative modules) or HBO BA, with financial, administrative and/or commercial subject areas.
- Strong command of English and Dutch, both spoken and written.
- Good general ERP (JD Edwards) / systems skills, including proficiency with MS Office (esp. Excel)
- Good communication skills, integrity and positive assertiveness.
- Service-oriented, hands-on approach, with proactive and flexible attitude.
- Accurate and diligent.
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and comply with key deadlines

contacts with various stakeholders.
Location & Travel Requirements
- Position located on Mentor Leiden site (minimum office presence 3 days a week)
