GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTANT

This General Ledger Accountant role offers a unique opportunity to enrich your finance experience as you will be working in an international and dynamic environment. It is a 12 month contract with possibility of extension to permanent.
Responsibilities
As our General Ledger Accountant you will join a team of highly motivated Finance professionals, supporting the complete management of the Financial Ledgers of Cotys European Principal entities, as well as the Commercial entities of Benelux and Global Travel Retail.
Your main focus :
- Supporting the facilitation and coordination of the execution of day-to-day tasks
- Month-, quarter- and year-end close including internal and external reporting and audit
- Supporting the controlling and compliance environment and keep a constant eye on potential process efficiency improvements
- Building good working relationships with your team members, internal and external support functions as well as internal stakeholders across the company. Therefore, you will be able to take action on queries and support timely resolutions individually or collaboratively
You will be working with passionate teams worldwide and have opportunities to build your own career path within the company. There is lots to learn, experience and explore.
The team consists of one Senior Manager and three GL Accountants, and you will work closely together with several departments such as BPO team in India, Payroll/HR, Transfer Pricing, Tax, Treasury, Supply Chain and other Finance teams.

Other than that, you:
- Have a professional accounting qualification and experience
- Big4 working experience is a plus
- Having worked with Inventory is a plus
- Strong communication & collaboration skills
- Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks & workload
- Focused individual with excellent attention to details
- Ability to use analytical & logical thinking to isolate and resolve issues in a timely manner
- A drive and passion to achieve excellent results
- Dutch GAAP experience is plus.
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office package
- Experience of SAP and FCCS is a big bonus.
