Description of assignment
The assignment is to design and implement a continuous auditing system which Vanderlande Internal Audit will use for developing the annual internal audit plan and/or support internal audit engagements. The system should be able to automatically extract internal and external data from multiple sources, cleanse and manipulate them, analyze them against various rule sets, and visualize the output. Example analyses are duplicate payments, excessive access to systems, insufficiently authorized purchases, unapproved large manual journal entries, etc.
Department description
Internal Audit reports into the Vanderlande Audit Committee. It provides assurance to the Vanderlande Board by performing internal audits across all areas of the organization. Purpose of the internal audits is to verify that business processes are set up in a way that ensures reliable financial reporting and prevents fraud and errors from happening.

Your profile
- Programming skills (specifically relevant for data extraction, manipulation and visualization)
- Proactivity and ability to work independently. Ability to quickly build a network
- Interest in accounting/finance.
- Mandatory enrolment to a Dutch Education System & resident of The Netherlands.
