Job Description:
Seeking a customer-oriented receptionist to join our team! We are a 2-star boutique hotel in the heart of Amsterdam and looking for someone who can greet our guests with a smile, answer phone calls with enthusiasm, and keep the reception running smoothly. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is a people person, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is flexible to work morning and afternoon shifts. Experience is preferred and we also offer paid training and happy to help get you more acquainted with the city.
Key responsibilities:
- Greet guests as they arrive and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
- Process reservations & cancellations in our hotel software
- Assist with the coordination of guest requests and needs
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails and other forms of communication in a timely manner
- Resolve any issues or complaints that guests may have in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain a tidy and organized front of house area
Requirements:
- Currently living in Amsterdam
- Have a BSN and work permit (if applicable) in the Netherlands
- Flexible to work morning and afternoon shifts (including weekends and public holidays)
- Experience in a customer service role and preferably hotels
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English (written and oral) is a must and Dutch would be a bonus
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with hotel property management software is a big plus
