As an IAM Software Engineer, you’ll work on the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of secure, user-friendly Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions. You’ll work on complex projects that impact critical systems. Collaborating with a motivated team, you’ll have the autonomy to solve technical challenges, grow your expertise across the software development lifecycle, and contribute to resilient, high-impact cybersecurity solutions.
What you'll do as IAM Software Engineer
- Analyse and break down customer requirements, incidents, and problems.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure Identity & Access Management (IAM) systems, ensuring seamless integration with client environments.
- Collaborate daily with the team to execute work items, focusing on delivering key features and addressing technical challenges within each sprint.
- Validate all development increments, testing, and deploying to acceptance and production environments to ensure quality and security.
- Contribute feedback and insights with cross-functional teams to improve processes and outcomes.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential (security) issues within the IAM system, providing solutions that prevent disruptions and enhance overall system performance.

What you'll bring to the team
- Experience: 3+ years in software engineering, preferably in an IT Security / Identity and Access Management field. Experience with most elements in the Software Development Life Cycle, experience with consuming APIs, and Version Control (i.e., Git).
- Skills: Take initiative, work in a structured manner, and communicate clearly. Strong collaborative and problem-solving skills, adaptability, and effective time management are key. Furthermore, ideally, you would have a solid grasp of relational databases (SQL), Windows operating systems, proficiency in testing, troubleshooting, and writing clear documentation. Experience with C#, CI/CD tools, Azure DevOps, and an understanding of software security principles would be a great addition, along with familiarity with Scrum, Omada Identity, Microsoft Entra, and/or Azure infrastructure.
- Languages: A fluency level equivalent to C1 in English and B2 in Dutch or higher, both written and verbal.
- Education/certifications: A bachelor's degree or equivalent level of thinking obtained through relevant experience.
- Availability: You're available for 40 hours per week and can work from our office in Waardenburg or at the customer site at least once a week (after an on-site onboarding).
- Driver's License: You have a valid EU driver's license.
- Work Eligibility: You must currently hold a valid working visa and live in the Netherlands or Belgium to qualify for this role.
