TMC is looking for a passionate and pioneering Nanophysicist to join our Physics team. You will be developing and experimenting with optomechanical instruments and nanoscale characterization.

About this vacancy
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate fundamental physical insights into practical, high-impact solutions. This includes both technology-push initiatives and customer-driven projects, where you’ll help define system requirements, conceptualize designs, and build experimental setups to validate key functionalities.
- Conduct research and development on advanced nanoscale instrumentation.
- Design and execute complex experiments and test setups.
- Translate customer needs into technical solutions and performance indicators.
- Develop and demonstrate prototypes and technology demonstrators.
- Apply and advance techniques such as IAFM, KPFM & other scanning probe methods.
What we expect from you
- MSc with at least 4 years of experience or a PhD in (Applied) Physics or Nanotechnology.
- Strong background in physics, with expertise in scanning probe microscopy and nanoscale material characterization.
- Familiarity with microfabrication technologies is a plus.
- Proven scientific track record with publications in relevant journals.
- Hands-on experience in experimental design and realization of test setups.
- Pioneering mindset with a passion for solving complex scientific and engineering challenges.
