Process Engineer

What will you be doing?
We offer the possibility to work at our customer with a complex Automated Case Picking system (https://youtu.be/VelcUcdm4N0, other relevant video?). You will be part of the serviceteam of Vanderlande, which consist of 50 Motivated and enthusiastic colleagues. Next we offer to learn from your colleagues in process engineering as well other disciplines to grow into the role.
As Process Improvement Engineer you will be responsible for executing process optimizations using Lean Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement services. Together with colleagues and customer stakeholders on all levels you will combine your expertise on the customer processes, operations, data analysis and Vanderlande automation solutions to make integral improvement proposals for the total (intra)logistics process. While doing so you take into account future developments in the customer market and are able to quantify the benefits of the proposed improvements.
You will also develop tools and methods to measure, monitor, and analyze system and process performance. Where necessary you propose, create, and improve performance reporting on system and operational level to support continuous improvement of the production processes. You find the right balance between focusing on the logistics process and on the supporting technology. To enable efficient and continuous process optimization work in the service phase, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of Vanderlande’s relation with the customer from sales to project execution to define the required KPIs, data, information, and tooling.
Your profile
As Process Engineer you are able to act on operational, tactical, and strategic level and you know how to present the benefits of a specific solution in a convincing and constructive way. You have strong analytical capabilities together with an entrepreneurial approach in which you are not afraid to take initiative and make decisions. You have excellent communication skills and you are able to build and maintain good relationships with our customer. You can think creatively and in conceptual terms and have a problem solving can do mindset.
- You have finished a Master degree in a relevant (technical) education program
- You have affinity with working in a technical and logistical environment
- Knowledge of continuous improvement
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analytics
- Good command of English and Dutch
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Willing to be on site 60% of your time
- Willing to travel to Veghel 2x per month

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 3650 to € 5000 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
