Project Leader Recycling Technologies
Teijin Holdings Europe is currently seeking a motivated, result-oriented , who wants to contribute to a more sustainable society. The position will be based at Teijin’s Brightlands Innovation Center (TBIC) located in Geleen, The Netherlands, which directly reports to the New Business Development Unit of Teijin Limited in Tokyo (Japan). The position offers the opportunity to play a key role in supporting the creation of circular business solutions within the Teijin Group.

Position:
Project Leader Recycling Technologies in the framework of Circular Economy at the Teijin Brightlands Innovation Center (TBIC), part of the New Business Development Unit (NBDU) of Teijin Limited. Reporting to the Director Teijin Brightlands Innovation Center (TBIC), based in Geleen, The Netherlands.
Scope
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate expert to join our team and focus on developing recycling technologies with a strong focus on solution-based recycling. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of chemical processes, process engineering and recycling processes of polymers as well as in project management in an international environment.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management of the (dissolution) recycling project from idea to possible implementation.
- Execute technology feasibility studies and develop projects from low TRL to technology readiness.
- Set up business strategies and business feasibility studies for (dissolution) recycling technologies in cooperation with team members and Teijin’s material business units.
- Support and guide academic and/or technology colleagues.
- Set-up and manage partnerships and strategic alliances with academic, industrial, governmental and/or commercial partners.
- Align with other recycling projects at Teijin’s NBDU in Japan and Teijin’s business units worldwide.
- Active participation in new idea creation, projects development and R&D programs.
- Establish a center of excellence knowledge hub for (dissolution) recycling technology.
- Share your experiences, expertise and skills to support other projects and colleagues at TBIC.
Job requirements / Qualifications:
· At least 5 years’ experience in the field of business development, project management, process engineering and/or recycling of materials.
· Understanding of Circular Economy of materials in both scientific as well as business context.
· Master’s degree in engineering, chemistry, physics, business economics related science.
· Experience in the chemical industry environment with focus on materials.
· Proven project management skills, experience and successes.
· Strong business understanding.
· Experience with connecting to and cooperating with academia, institutions, start-ups and established companies in an international environment.
· Excellent multicultural communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
· Powerful networking and influencing capabilities.
· Willingness to travel up to 40% of time. Language skills: fluent English is required.
