Are you commercially driven, trend-savvy, and skilled at translating customer needs into a powerful product assortment? In this role, you’ll collaborate globally with leading A-brands within FMCG and play a key role in creating a successful offering for our (international) customers.
Reach your full potential as a Purchase Manager A-Brands (Confectionery)
As a Purchase Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing a distinctive assortment within various FMCG categories such as confectionery, snacks, coffee, tea, water, and personal care. You actively scout for new suppliers and products, negotiate prices and conditions, and work closely with sales to respond to market developments.
You navigate smoothly between strategy and operations and know how to capitalize on commercial opportunities. Experience in FMCG is a plus, but not a must—your analytical mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, and commercial flair are the keys to your success. Your base will be our headquarters in Dordrecht, where you’ll be part of an enterprising and results-driven team. Together, you achieve and celebrate commercial success.
Your day-to-day activities:
- Develop and manage a distinctive A-brand assortment within multiple FMCG categories
- Build and maintain strong relationships with (international) suppliers
- Negotiate prices, volumes, and delivery terms
- Analyze market trends and translate them into concrete opportunities
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to create a relevant and profitable offering
- Optimize margins, stock positions, and procurement processes
- Attend 2 to 3 international trade fairs annually and regularly travel to suppliers within Europe
Qualifications

You’re an independent, energetic professional with a bold attitude. You effortlessly switch between strategic thinking and hands-on execution, make an impact in conversations, and build lasting relationships. You’re curious, data-driven, and always looking for ways to improve.
You have:
- At least 3 years of experience in purchasing, category management, or sales
- Experience with (international) suppliers and negotiation processes
- Strong commercial and analytical skills
- Fluency in Dutch and English
- A structured way of working with great attention to detail
- Strong numerical skills and proficiency in Excel for analysis
