Your Role
As a Research Technician, you will join a multidisciplinary team of technicians, engineers, and specialists. You will support innovation projects and customer requests where polymer chemistry, process development, and analytical techniques are at the core.
This role offers you the chance to apply your knowledge, expand your skills, and actively contribute to projects under the guidance of more senior colleagues, including Innovation Lab Technicians.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is curious, hands-on, and eager to learn in an innovative environment. You enjoy experimentation, working with polymers, and collaborating with others.
Key Activities:
- Performing experiments and analyses for innovation and customer projects.
- Processing, analyzing, and reporting data to share insights with the team.
- Supporting the design, planning, and execution of research projects.
- Assisting in developing and improving protocols together with experienced colleagues.
- Supporting problem solving and process optimization.
- Helping to maintain lab facilities, equipment, and databases/SOPs.
- Ensure documentation and reporting of procedures and results according to Corbion standards.
- Actively contribute to lab safety and sustainability initiatives, including maintaining high standards of housekeeping and compliance with EHS & Quality procedures.
You bring:
- A completed MBO or BSc in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a relevant field.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience, ideally in biomedical or polymer chemistry.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- A team player with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Solid problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- A customer-focused and solution-oriented mindset.
- A pragmatic, proactive, and can-do mentality.
