The Sales Channel Distribution Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the distribution channels for Natural Resources across the EMEA region. This position requires a strategic approach to managing distributors in sectors such as lubes & fuels, water treatment, pulp & paper, and textiles.

About the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for professionalizing, standardizing, and formalizing distribution channel management for Natural Resources in EMEA. The candidate will be tasked with achieving ambitious volume and profitability growth targets, ensuring sales performance exceeds budget and aligns with business strategy. Additionally, the candidate will actively maintain a strong pipeline of business opportunities with distributors and foster regular in-person contact, representing Nouryon in a positive and professional manner.


In your future role as Sales Channel Distribution Manager, you will

  • Implement the EMEA distribution approach in close coordination with stakeholders across different functions.
  • Develop, implement and manage a distribution development plan to achieve significant growth targets set for the distribution channel of Natural Resources in line with the business strategy. The plan should define volume and profitability targets, actions and timeline for each distributor.
  • Expand relationship with key distributors and establish Natural Resources as focus growth partner with these distributors. Develop relationships with multiple levels at key distributors. Serves as lead contact for all day-to-day business activities through the assigned distribution channel.
  • Hold quarterly business review with key distributors to guard implementation of action plans and achievement of growth targets. Determine and implement actions immediately if development stays behind targets.
  • Closely work with other Nouryon business lines to streamline, align and strengthen the relationship with key distributors across Nouryon in EMEA.
  • Coordinate product trainings and maintain regular interaction on Nouryon products, to ensure distribution sales force is fully qualified and stays continuously focused on expanding volume of our products.


We believe you bring


  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Chemistry, Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 to10 years sales experience in B2B Specialty Chemical Sales, with proven success in managing distributors in addition to direct customers.


Great if you have:

  • Experience with business software, such as SAP, CRM, MS Office.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow national and multi-national accounts including ownership of account strategy, contracts, and strategy execution.
  • Above average interpersonal and presentation skills. Ability to listen and discern.
  • Strong knowledge of markets served by Natural Resources is a definite plus
  • Ability to develop and work in a team culture with other internal departments including but not limited to R&D, Customer Service and Supply Chain.
